Booking-Style Hotel Site MVP

I need an MVP that lets travellers search for hotels, see real-time availability, and secure a room in just a few clicks. For this first release the scope is intentionally narrow: hotels only—no apartments, hostels, or holiday homes—and the only module I care about right now is search-and-booking.

Core flow
• Guests enter destination, dates, and guest count.
• Results show available hotels with photos, amenities, room types, and up-to-date pricing.
• On the hotel page they choose a room, then either pay online in full (Stripe, PayPal, or a similar gateway) or select “pay at the hotel.”
• A confirmation email with a reservation code is sent automatically in both cases.

What’s out of scope for this phase: an owner extranet, loyalty programmes, reviews, or other post-stay features. Build the architecture with future modules in mind, but keep the current deliverable lean.

Deliverables (hand-off ready)
• Responsive web application (frontend, backend, database schema) running on a test server plus all source code in Git.
• Clear setup instructions and brief technical documentation.

Acceptance criteria
• Search, booking, and the dual-payment option work end-to-end without errors.
• Confirmation emails arrive within one minute.
• Code is clean, readable, and modular for future expansion.
