Book Redesign: Cover & Layout Refresh

My manuscript is already laid out and the first edition is in circulation, but I’m convinced the design can work harder—especially for a young-adult market. I will send you the existing print files (cover and interior) along with brand guidelines and imagery; your brief is to elevate the cover and overhaul the interior page layout so the whole package feels cleaner, more contemporary, and more engaging at first glance.

Cover
• Reimagine the front, spine, and back while keeping the title treatment recognisable.
• Maintain trim size and printer specs; I’ll supply the exact template.

Interior layout
• Tighten margins, hierarchy, headers, and page-number placement.
• Standardise styles in Adobe InDesign so future updates are painless.
• If you feel a subtle typography tweak would strengthen readability, flag it—final call stays with me.

Target reader
Everything should resonate with a young-adult audience—bold but not childish, fresh yet professional.

Deliverables
1. Press-ready PDF for print.
2. Packaged InDesign folder (INDD, links, fonts).
3. Cover image exported separately for ebook thumbnail use.
