I need a small AI-powered utility that lets me drag-and-drop screenshots of book pages and instantly receive a text file laid out exactly in the template my quiz app expects. The pages are mostly printed text, but a few answers and margin notes are handwritten, so the OCR engine has to deal with mixed content without dropping accuracy.
Here’s what I expect the tool to do:
• Accept batches of screenshots (PNG/JPG) and run OCR that recognises both printed and some handwritten characters.
• Preserve the original ordering of the questions and options as they appear on the page.
• Export the extracted content into the special Word-style template my quiz system imports (I will supply a sample file so you can map the fields correctly).
A simple desktop executable or a lightweight web page backed by Python (Tesseract, EasyOCR, or Google Vision) is fine—whichever lets you reach solid accuracy and is easy for me to run on Windows. Clean source code and a quick README showing how to retrain or tweak the model for new handwriting samples will complete the job.
Once I can drop a folder of screenshots in and get a ready-to-import file out, we’re done.
