I’m moving from concept to bench-top reality on a new battery pack and I need an R&D hardware engineer who is equally comfortable with Battery Management Systems like Anker 737 & thermal control hardware. I’m looking someone with a hands-on specialist who can own the phase, turning those drawings into a working assembly that can survive abuse testing and provide clean, reliable data.

Your day-to-day focus will be:

• Circuit design for the BMS daughter-boards, including cell-balancing, current-sense, protection FETs and all supporting analog/digital interfaces.
• Thermal analysis of the pack and its integrated cold-plate, using your calculations to specify sensors, heaters, interface materials and control loops before committing them to hardware.

Once the schematics and thermal stack-up are frozen, you’ll drive the board spins, source parts, assemble the prototypes and bring them up in the lab. I already have a small test rig with programmable loads and an environmental chamber; you’ll script the characterisation runs, capture the data and recommend the next round of tweaks.

Acceptance criteria
– Functional BMS prototype that communicates over CAN and handles balancing / protection within spec
– Thermal subsystem demonstrating ≤ 3 °C cell-to-cell delta at 2 C discharge in a 35 °C ambient chamber test
– Full documentation set: schematics, BOM, Gerbers, thermal model and test report
Note: few more modules & deliverables which I will explain over the chat. BMS & thermal management will plain main role, with other modules.
