We're inviting interested freelancers to participate in our Bilingual Code-Switching Conversation Recording Project!
Do you have a friend, family member, colleague, or someone you regularly chat with who speaks one of the following languages and English? This is a great opportunity to earn by recording your natural, everyday conversations together.
No scripts or formal interviews needed—just authentic, casual conversations!
Languages and Payment Rates:
- Dutch–English: $40 USD per pair, per hour
- Greek–English: $30 USD per pair, per hour
- Hebrew–English: $40 USD per pair, per hour
Project Details:
- Recording length: 15 minutes per recording
- Minimum submission: 1 hour of total audio (4 recordings, at least 15 minutes each)
- Maximum submission: No set limit on eligible recording hours
- Recording style: Natural, casual, unscripted conversations
Important Language Requirement:
- English should make up approximately 10–15% of the total conversation, while the remaining 85–90% should be in your chosen language (Dutch, Greek, or Hebrew).
- For example, in a 15-minute recording, approximately 1.5–2 minutes should be in English, with the rest of the conversation in your chosen language.
- Please ensure that your conversations naturally include both languages while maintaining this required proportion.
How It Works:
- Team up with a friend, family member, colleague, or someone you regularly talk to who speaks your chosen language and English.
- Complete the registration form to express your interest.
Record your conversations. Have natural, unscripted conversations using your chosen language and English. You don't need to be in the same location—you can record remotely using platforms such as Zoom or Riverside.
- Complete the required recordings and submit your audio according to the project guidelines.
Who Can Participate?
- Individuals who can naturally converse in Dutch and English, Greek and English, or Hebrew and English.
- Participants who have a suitable conversation partner who also speaks the required languages.
- Pairs who can record clear, natural, and unscripted conversations.
- Participants who can follow the project guidelines and submission requirements.
Slots for this project are limited, and interest has been high. If you're interested, we encourage you to register as soon as possible. Early registration may improve your chances of securing a spot, but participation is subject to availability and project approval.
