Drive Safe Solutions is a Canadian software platform being developed for designated-driver companies. I am looking for multiple independent beta testers to test the website before its public launch.
I intend to award this project to several freelancers. Your bid should cover one complete testing assignment.
Testers Needed
I am especially interested in applicants with experience in one or more of these areas:
* Designated-driver services
* Taxi, rideshare or transportation companies
* Dispatching drivers
* Fleet or delivery management
* Driving as part of a two-person team
* Testing business-management software
Testing Assignment
Selected testers will receive a private test account containing sample information. You will be asked to complete realistic tasks such as:
* Creating and configuring a company
* Adding team members and assigning roles
* Creating and dispatching a job
* Using the lead-driver or support-driver workflow
* Starting and completing a trip
* Recording kilometres, expenses and payments
* Testing the website on a phone and computer
* Identifying confusing instructions or missing information
Required Deliverables
You must provide:
1. A completed testing checklist
2. A written list of bugs or problems found
3. Clear steps showing how each problem occurred
4. Screenshots or a screen recording where appropriate
5. Your device, browser and operating-system information
6. Feedback about usability, mobile layout and confusing wording
7. Your five most important recommended improvements
Each bug report must explain:
* What you attempted to do
* What you expected to happen
* What actually happened
* Whether the issue prevented you from continuing
* The page where the issue occurred
Important Conditions
* Testing should take approximately 60–90 minutes.
* The assignment must be completed within three days of receiving access.
* Test accounts and sample information will be provided.
* Do not enter real customer, driver or payment information.
* Do not perform automated security scans or attempt to access unauthorized areas.
* Testing credentials and unreleased features must be kept confidential.
* Payment will be based on completing the full assignment, not on the number of bugs found.
* This project does not include writing code or correcting the website.
How to Apply
Begin your proposal with the words “DRIVE SAFE TEST” so I know you read the complete description.
Please answer all of these questions:
1. What transportation, dispatching or software-testing experience do you have?
2. Have you previously worked as an owner, manager, dispatcher or driver?
3. Will you test using Android, iPhone or both?
4. What desktop computer and browser can you use?
5. Are you able to provide screenshots or screen recordings?
6. What is your fixed-price bid for one complete testing assignment?
Generic proposals that do not answer these questions will not be considered.
Multiple freelancers will be selected. Applicants with direct transportation or dispatch experience will receive priority.
