Belarusian Speech Recording Project

I’m assembling a small remote team of adult, native Belarusian speakers to help expand our speech-to-text dataset. All tasks are carried out from home: you will read short Belarusian phrases into your own smartphone (Android devices are perfect) while seated in a very quiet room so the recordings stay free of background noise.

Here’s how it works
• I’ll send you a set of scripted prompts in Belarusian.
• You record each line once, speaking naturally, and save the clips in uncompressed PCM/WAV format straight from your phone’s voice-recorder app.
• When you’re done, you upload the files to the secure folder I provide.

That’s it. I review the audio for clarity and completeness, approve the batch, and release payment at the hourly rate of $8.

Deliverable
– A folder containing all assigned prompts recorded in clean, 16-bit WAV (44.1 kHz or 48 kHz) with consistent volume and no audible background noise.

Acceptance criteria
• Native Belarusian pronunciation throughout.
• Each prompt recorded once, in full, without clipping or stumbles.
• Background noise below –45 dB; no echoes, hums, or external voices.
