Battery Casing design CAD file

We are looking for an experienced mechanical/product CAD designer to develop a clean, professional and manufacturing-ready CAD design for battery casing/enclosure.

We have the basic dimensions, internal component layout and design direction. The requirement is to convert this into a practical casing design that can be manufactured locally using CRCA sheet metal, laser cutting, bending and welding, followed by powder coating.

The designer should have prior experience designing sheet-metal for premium electrical/electronic enclosures, battery enclosures, UPS/inverter cabinets or similar products.

Scope of Work
- Develop the complete 3D CAD model and assembly
- Design individual sheet-metal components
- Account for appropriate sheet thickness, bend radius, bend allowance and fabrication clearances
- Provide required cut-outs for connectors, switches, MCBs, displays, cables etc.
- Design mounting provisions for internal battery components
- Ensure the casing is practical for assembly, servicing and manufacturing
- Keep the design clean, premium and simple enough for local fabrication

- Complete 3D CAD assembly
- Individual part CAD files
- STEP file
- DXF flat patterns for laser cutting
- PDF fabrication drawings with dimensions
- Bend details / bend table where applicable
- Material and sheet-thickness specifications

Ideal Freelancer - Please apply only if you have experience with:
- SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / AutoCAD or equivalent
- Sheet-metal design
- Electrical/electronic enclosures
- Manufacturing drawings
- Laser-cut + bent sheet-metal components

Preference will be given to freelancers who can show 2–3 examples of similar sheet-metal enclosure/product designs they have personally designed.

The basic design concept and dimensions will be provided to the selected freelancer.
