I’m building an early-stage mobile shopping experience and need a lean MVP that runs on both iOS and Android. For this first release I only care about two things: a clean, browsable product catalog and a smooth user rating & review system. No checkout or payment gateway yet—this sprint is purely about validating engagement and gathering feedback.
A cross-platform stack such as Flutter or React Native feels right, but if you have a better approach I’m open to it. The interface should look modern, load fast, and be easy for me to extend later when we add payments.
Deliverables
• Well-structured source code
• Installable builds for iOS (TestFlight) and Android (APK)
• Admin-friendly way to add, edit, or retire products
• Review module with star ratings, text comments, and basic moderation
• Lightweight backend or cloud function to store products and reviews, plus a simple analytics hook (Firebase or similar)
Acceptance criteria
– Product catalog loads from the remote data source without noticeable lag
– Users can search, filter, and open detail pages crash-free
– Reviews save instantly and repopulate on reload
– A brief code walkthrough with me confirms readability and future extensibility
If we click on this, you’ll likely handle the future payment integration and feature growth as well, so write maintainable code and outline your timeline for this MVP when you reply.
