Baby Care Brand Strategist & Product R&D Specialist

I am building a new baby care brand for the Indian market and looking for an experienced Brand Strategist and Product Research & Development specialist. Individual experts and teams are welcome to apply.

The goal is to identify genuine parenting problems, find commercially viable product opportunities, and develop clear brand positioning. The scope includes both skincare and non-skincare baby products.

Key responsibilities:
- Research Indian and international competitors, product pricing, positioning, and market gaps.
- Analyse customer reviews on FirstCry, Amazon, and similar platforms to identify recurring problems and unmet needs.
- Shortlist 10 product opportunities and recommend up to 4 for validation with parents.
- Define the target audience, brand positioning, value proposition, and messaging.
- Assess product feasibility, formulation or material requirements, safety testing, and applicable Indian regulations.
- Identify potential manufacturers, indicative MOQs, development costs, unit costs, and timelines.
- Prepare a practical product development and launch roadmap.

Expected deliverables include a research report with sources, a scored product shortlist, brand strategy, product development briefs, and a manufacturer and costing shortlist. Estimates must be clearly separated from verified quotations.

The initial engagement covers research, strategy, and feasibility. Sampling, formulation development, laboratory testing, and packaging design should be quoted separately.
