# Kenya B2B T-Shirt Market Research & Buyer Visits
We are an India-based garment/export business looking for a **Kenya-based market researcher/field representative** to conduct physical B2B market research for our T-shirt business.
### Responsibilities
**1. Market Research & Physical Visits**
* Prepare a visit plan and physically visit clothing markets/shops in **Nairobi, Kisumu, Eldoret, Mombasa and Nakuru**.
* Visit shops, wholesalers, retailers, importers and potential B2B buyers.
* Take clear photographs of shops with yourself in the photograph, where appropriate.
* Take clear photographs of the **most-sold T-shirts with visible price tags**.
* **Fill the Google Sheet/Excel on the same day** with all collected information.
* Share photographs on the same day with the shop/wholesaler name and relevant details.
**2. Market Samples**
* Identify the most-selling/relevant T-shirt from potential buyers.
* **Discuss with us and obtain approval before purchasing any sample.**
* Collect one approved sample from selected potential buyers.
**3. Freight Forwarder Research – Nairobi & Mombasa**
* Meet approximately **4–5 freight forwarders/clearing agents (CHA)** in Nairobi and Mombasa.
* Obtain their **name, mobile/contact, city and company details**.
* Obtain warehouse rates, specifically **1 CBM storage charges per day/week**.
* Share freight-forwarder and warehouse information with us.
**4. Sample Shipping**
* Discuss with freight forwarders the process and cost of sending samples from Kenya to India.
* Approved freight/shipping charges will be paid **directly to the freight forwarder**.
**5. Send Market Samples to India**
* After completion of the market research, send approved collected samples to us through the selected freight forwarder/CHA.
**6. Receive Samples from India**
* We will prepare samples in India and send them to you through the agreed shipping method.
**7. Collect & Safely Keep Samples**
* Collect the samples in Kenya and safely keep them until the buyer follow-up visits.
**8. Buyer Follow-up**
* Visit potential buyers again with our samples.
* Present the samples and try to develop genuine buyer interest.
* Where appropriate, arrange a call/video call between the buyer and us.
**9. Lead Reporting**
* Share complete details of interested/potential buyers, including business name, location, contact details where voluntarily provided, requirements, quantity, price expectations and feedback.
### Daily Reporting & Meetings
* **All field research data must be entered into the Google Sheet/Excel on the same day.**
* Photographs and supporting information must also be shared on the same day.
* Provide **bills/receipts or reasonable evidence for approved expenses**.
* Attend a meeting/call with us **every alternate day or on demand** when reasonably required.
### Product
Men's T-shirts — **100% Cotton, Poly-Cotton and Polyester**, approximately 160–200 GSM, including round neck, polo, regular, oversized and drop-shoulder styles.
### Requirements
* Must currently be based in Kenya.
* Comfortable travelling to the specified cities/markets.
* Good communication and B2B interaction skills.
* Experience in clothing, market research, sales or textiles is preferred.
* Must provide genuine field information rather than internet-based research.
### Budget & Expenses
**Fixed Project Budget: USD 160**
**The USD 160 already includes the field/travel allowances and routine expenses for the project. No additional daily allowance will be paid on top of the USD 160.**
Approved **T-shirt sample purchases and freight/shipping charges are separate** and will only be incurred after discussion and approval. Approved freight charges will be paid directly to the freight forwarder where applicable.
We are looking for a reliable person for this initial project, with the possibility of **long-term market development and sales work in Kenya** if the results are good.
