Project Title: B2B Conference Delegate Sales – Warm Lead Follow-up Trial

Metis Conferences is seeking an experienced B2B delegate-sales professional to support registrations for the Rail Cyber Resilience Summit, taking place in Tallinn on 20–21 October 2026.

This is a focused five-day trial working with an existing list of approximately 25–30 relevant prospects. Contacts include railway operators, infrastructure managers, manufacturers, engineering organisations and cybersecurity professionals who have previously engaged with our outreach, requested information or shown interest in the programme.

The objective is to progress these conversations towards paid registration by identifying decision-makers, understanding internal approval requirements, addressing practical booking questions and securing clear next steps.

Responsibilities

Review and prioritise the supplied prospect list.
Follow up with prospects through agreed email, LinkedIn and telephone channels.
Establish their level of interest, relevance and decision timetable.
Identify internal approval, budget, travel or timing obstacles.
Provide accurate information about the programme, pricing and attendance options.
Arrange conversations with the Managing Director where detailed programme or commercial discussion is required.
Follow up outstanding decisions and encourage confirmed prospects to complete registration.
Maintain a clear record of every contact, response, objection, next action and outcome.
Provide a short daily progress report.

We will supply the event agenda, audience profiles, ticket pricing, approved messaging, common objection responses and relevant background on each prospect.

Required experience

Proven B2B sales, appointment-setting or delegate-sales experience.
Experience selling conferences, professional services or high-value business events.
Confidence speaking with senior technical and business professionals.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong follow-up discipline and accurate reporting.
Availability during UK and European business hours.
Familiarity with rail, cybersecurity, infrastructure, engineering or regulated industries would be beneficial.

Trial structure

Duration: five working days.
Expected commitment: 10–15 hours.
Fixed project budget: £300–£500.
Immediate start preferred.
Further work may be available across Metis Conferences’ rail event portfolio if the trial produces strong results.

Success measures

Performance will be assessed through meaningful prospect conversations, decision-makers reached, qualified next steps, meetings arranged and paid registrations.
