Initial paid trial: A$20 AUD fixed total. Ongoing packages are scoped and priced separately after seeing the quality of your work.
We produce Christian teaching, biblical prophecy, history and explanatory YouTube videos, with more than 30 full videos planned. I am looking for a specialist who can turn a spoken explanation into clear, accurate, professional visuals using independent creative judgement.
THE ROLE
Create or source purposeful supporting visuals for an already-edited video. The main editor handles presenter cuts, retakes, dialogue, audio and colour. Your work should help the audience understand something difficult: a timeline, the order of events, a geographical relationship, or a physical process such as dust descending through the atmosphere in a discussed scenario.
Use fewer, stronger visuals. There is no requirement to fill five minutes of every episode or place B-roll at regular intervals. Each commissioned insert will have a defined purpose and an agreed duration or range based on the narration. The editor's selected placeholders and spoken context guide the final package. Preserve the intended teaching; distinguish factual imagery from illustrative or hypothetical reconstructions and flag anything unclear.
WHAT GOOD WORK LOOKS LIKE
- Maps, timelines and diagrams with accurate, legible labels, logical movement and clear sequencing.
- Relevant natural-looking footage or well-made reconstructions that match the actual spoken point.
- Clean composition, consistent finishing and motion that improves understanding.
- Careful checking: no gibberish text, incorrect dates, distorted objects, impossible physical combinations or unrelated stock footage.
Licensed footage, motion design, 3D and AI-assisted tools are all acceptable where appropriate. The result and its accuracy matter more than the tool. Generic AI scenes or decorative filler will not meet the brief. Be clear about which assets you created and which you sourced, and supply commercial-use/licensing information.
THE PAID TRIAL
The supplied reference is an existing complete 4:52 teaching video. Replace its existing B-roll with materially better, context-specific visuals while keeping the full video, narration, main edit, B-roll positions and durations, and required on-screen information intact. The task is to improve the B-roll already in that reference, not to create 4:52 of continuous new B-roll or shorten the video. Use the video to understand the message and make your own creative decisions.
The standard trial offer is A$20 AUD total, including the stated output, assets and one small consolidated revision. If you cannot demonstrate your capability within that offer, say so upfront. You may propose a clearly defined quality demonstration using the supplied material for consideration within the same A$20 budget; any changed scope must be agreed before starting. Do not silently deliver less than agreed.
ONGOING WORK
The previous target allocation was A$100–150 AUD for an episode's B-roll package. The actual selected visuals, production approach and price must be agreed before each commission; no five-minute quota or ongoing rate is promised by this trial. We will assess your demonstrated quality and agree appropriate scope and pricing before commissioning further work.
For an agreed package, deliver a review version showing the visuals in context plus clean 16:9 clips ready for the editor, matching the agreed timing and frame rate. Include timecodes, source/licensing notes and any editable-file dependencies. Minimum 1080p; specify whether genuine 4K delivery is available.
TO APPLY
1. Send two or three directly relevant examples you personally made. At least one must demonstrate a clear map, timeline, diagram or explanatory process. Include timestamps and your exact contribution.
2. Confirm whether you accept the A$20 AUD trial as described, or identify a precise alternative demonstration for consideration within that budget.
3. State who will create the work, your availability, and your proposed delivery time with time zone after receiving the reference.
4. Explain briefly how you check visual accuracy and state how you price an agreed ongoing package, including assets and revisions.
No unpaid custom sample is requested. Please wait for the agreed award and funded milestone before starting paid work. Trial payment is for the agreed work and does not depend on receiving an ongoing position. Future work is subject to quality, capacity and a separate agreement.
