FYI: I am total beginner
I am making the leap from a Major Incident Manager role into hands-on Azure Cloud Operations and I’m looking for a seasoned mentor to guide me through the transition. My ideal partner has at least five years of real-world Azure experience in a Cloud Ops or SRE setting and has already helped other ITSM professionals pivot successfully.
Please share Linkedin profile as well.
Scope of guidance
• Weekly one-on-one Zoom or Teams sessions (camera-on, live lab sharing).
• Structured path toward passing AZ-900 and especially AZ-104, with emphasis on production-grade administration skills.
• Deep dives on the operational stack: VMs, Networking (VNets, NSGs, VPN, Load Balancer), Storage, Microsoft Entra ID, Monitoring & Log Analytics, plus PowerShell, Azure CLI and Linux basics for automation.
• Practical troubleshooting playbooks for common incident patterns in Azure, including war-room simulations.
• Best-practice runbooks for cloud operations and continuous improvement culture.
• Career collateral: iterative résumé rewrites and mock interviews tailored to Cloud Engineer / SRE openings.
Deliverables
1. A customised study plan, updated after each session.
2. Hands-on labs or demos I can repeat independently (Terraform/Bicep optional but welcome).
3. Two full mock exams for AZ-104 with debrief.
4. A polished cloud-focused résumé plus at least two recorded mock interview sessions with feedback.
Success for me means passing AZ-104, articulating cloud-incident solutions confidently in interviews, and stepping into an Azure Ops role without surprises.
If you have the depth, the patience, and the war stories to accelerate this journey, I’m ready to get started.
