One-off, fixed-price development project on an existing Azure-hosted web application (Python backend + React frontend). The work is already scoped and split into milestones. Each milestone is self-contained with written acceptance criteria — you deliver it, we review, we release payment, then move to the next. This is not ongoing employment and there is no fixed weekly commitment.
Milestone 1 — Notification/Alerting Reliability Fix
Add required-field validation for an outbound email/contact channel and fix conditional webhook routing logic (e.g. team-based routing rules) in a Python notification module. Include automated test coverage proving the fix.
Acceptance: existing test suite passes plus new tests for the routing/validation fix; no regressions in other notification paths.
Milestone 2 — Operational Runbook Rewrite
Rewrite an internal deployment runbook to support a repeatable, numbered "test-and-redeploy" cycle that's consumable by both a human engineer and an automation/LLM step. Structure it so each cycle's inputs/outputs are unambiguous.
Acceptance: runbook reviewed and successfully followed end-to-end for at least one full cycle.
Milestone 3 — Versioned Release & Packaging
Cut a versioned release that adds: (a) multi-scale run configuration support (small/large run profiles), (b) an improved access-grant UX flow, and (c) an extended data-processing feature covering all relevant data tables rather than a subset. Update the infrastructure-as-code parameters and deployment package accordingly.
Acceptance: release deploys cleanly via the existing IaC pipeline; new run-profile and access-grant flows verified in a test environment.
Milestone 4 — Feature Build-Out (Web App)
Build a new "run detail" page, substantially extend an existing results/findings page, add supporting frontend types and backend API storage endpoints, and expand several backend processing modules with new capabilities (coverage/summary analysis, case triage, data ingestion analysis, anomaly detection, and search/hunting). Package the result as a deployable build artifact.
Acceptance: new page and extended page render correctly against sample data; backend endpoints covered by tests; build artifact produced successfully.
Milestone 5 — Minor UI Cleanup
Small dead-code/unused-variable cleanup pass on the results page from Milestone 4.
Acceptance: no unused code flagged by linting; no functional change.
