Website Migration, Domain Restructuring & AWS Infrastructure Setup – sanaco.com.sa to sana.com.sa

Project Overview
We are looking for an experienced Website Migration Specialist / AWS Cloud Architect to manage a website migration and infrastructure restructuring project.

Our existing website, sanaco.com.sa, is currently hosted on Amazon AWS Lightsail. The website has a database exceeding 150 GB and contains substantial business content, products, categories and SEO-optimised pages.

Management has decided to use sana.com.sa for the existing website content and business activities, while retaining sanaco.com.sa for a different business purpose with separate content and functionality.

We need an experienced professional to plan and execute this migration without losing existing website data, SEO value, organic search visibility or business functionality.

Project Objectives
Migrate the existing website from sanaco.com.sa to sana.com.sa.
Preserve all existing products, categories, website content, images and relevant database records.
Protect the SEO investment made on 268 optimised product pages.
Implement appropriate 301 redirects from the old domain to the new domain.
Retain sanaco.com.sa and prepare it for a completely different website and business purpose.
Establish an efficient, secure and scalable AWS hosting architecture.
Minimise website downtime and avoid data loss during migration.
Scope of Work
1. Existing Website and Infrastructure Audit
Analyse the existing website architecture.
Review the AWS Lightsail hosting environment.
Identify the website technology, programming language and database engine.
Audit the existing database (150+ GB).
Analyse website files, media storage, plugins and integrations.
Identify unnecessary database records and technical issues.
Evaluate the existing server's performance and resource utilisation.
2. Website Migration to sana.com.sa
Create the new production environment for sana.com.sa.
Migrate the existing website application and required files.
Migrate the database and associated media.
Preserve products, categories, attributes, variations and relevant business records.
Preserve customer and historical transaction data where required.
Configure domain DNS, SSL and server settings.
Test all website functionalities before launch.
3. SEO Preservation and Migration
SEO preservation is a critical requirement of this project.

We have already completed SEO optimisation for 268 products on sanaco.com.sa.

The selected freelancer must ensure:

Preservation of existing product URLs wherever possible.
Migration of all SEO titles and meta descriptions.
Preservation of product descriptions and headings.
Preservation of image ALT tags and relevant image assets.
Preservation of structured data and schema markup.
Correct canonical tag configuration.
Updated internal linking structure.
Updated XML sitemap.
Updated robots.txt configuration.
Individual 301 redirects from old URLs to corresponding new URLs.
No unnecessary redirect chains or redirect loops.
Verification of Google Search Console and indexing configuration.
All 268 SEO-optimised products must be checked after migration.

Important: Redirecting all old URLs to the new homepage will not be accepted. Redirects must point to relevant equivalent pages.

4. Repurposing sanaco.com.sa
After migrating the existing website to sana.com.sa:

sanaco.com.sa must remain operational.
The domain will be used for a different business purpose.
The new website must have an independent application and content structure.
The new website must have a separate database.
Historical URLs from the old website must continue to redirect appropriately to their corresponding pages on sana.com.sa.
The new website must not interfere with the existing SEO migration strategy.
5. AWS Infrastructure and Database Optimisation
We are open to recommendations regarding the best AWS architecture.

Potential technologies include:

AWS Lightsail
Amazon EC2
Amazon RDS
Amazon S3
Amazon CloudFront
AWS Route 53
AWS Backup
Amazon CloudWatch
The freelancer should recommend whether to:

Retain and optimise the existing Lightsail infrastructure.
Move to EC2 and RDS.
Implement another cost-effective AWS architecture.
The two websites should have independent applications and databases, even if they share appropriate AWS infrastructure.

The proposed solution must consider security, scalability, performance, backup and disaster recovery.

6. Testing and Quality Assurance
Before final deployment, the freelancer must verify:

All 268 SEO product pages.
Product images and media files.
Product categories and variations.
Website navigation and internal links.
Forms and integrations.
Customer accounts and historical records where applicable.
Database integrity.
SSL certificates.
Website loading speed.
Mobile responsiveness.
HTTP status codes and redirects.
Google indexing and sitemap configuration.
7. Post-Migration Support
The freelancer should provide post-launch technical support to resolve migration-related issues.

We also require documentation of:

New AWS architecture.
Database migration procedure.
Website deployment process.
Backup and recovery procedures.
DNS and domain configuration.
Redirect mapping.
Technical handover documentation.

Required Freelancer Skills
We are looking for a professional with proven experience in:

AWS Lightsail.
Amazon EC2 and RDS.
MySQL / MariaDB / PostgreSQL, as applicable.
Large database migrations (100 GB+).
Website domain migrations.
SEO migration and 301 redirects.
Google Search Console.
Website performance optimisation.
Cloud infrastructure and server administration.
Database backup and disaster recovery.
Experience with complex production website migrations is highly preferred.

Important Project Requirements
Experience with large databases is mandatory.
SEO migration experience is essential.
The freelancer must provide a clear migration strategy before implementation.
Full backups must be taken before any production changes.
The migration must be tested in a staging environment.
No existing website data should be deleted without approval.
