I have multiple AWS EC2 Linux instance where I have configured a GUI/remote desktop setup that I access from my Mac using a Windows/remote desktop application.

The setup works fine initially, but after approximately **2 days, the remote desktop connection stops working**. Restarting the EC2 instance fixes the issue, and it works again for another couple of days.

I am looking for someone with strong **AWS + Linux + remote desktop/GUI infrastructure** experience to help with one of the following:

### Option 1: Root cause and fix my existing setup

* I can provide my existing AMI/setup.
* Investigate why the remote desktop service becomes unavailable after a couple of days.
* Identify the root cause and implement a permanent fix.

### Option 2: Provide a clean, stable AMI/setup

* Create or provide a Linux-based AMI with a stable GUI environment.
* I should be able to connect remotely using a standard remote desktop client by providing the hostname/IP and credentials.
* The setup should remain stable for long-term use without requiring periodic EC2 restarts.

### How I will evaluate the work

The task itself is relatively simple—I just don't have deep expertise in this specific area.

Once the setup is ready:

1. I will connect to the machine and run my scripts/workload.
2. I will check the remote connection periodically (approximately once per day).
3. If the setup remains stable and accessible for **6 consecutive days**, I will make the payment.

### When applying

Please provide a **clear technical plan**, including:

* What you think might be causing the current issue.
* How you plan to debug or solve it.
* Which remote desktop/GUI technology you recommend and why.
* How you will ensure the setup remains stable over time.
* Any assumptions or requirements from my side.

**Important:** Please do not send a generic AI-generated proposal listing common solutions that are readily available online. I have already tried several standard approaches. Generic proposals without understanding the problem will be ignored.

If you have relevant experience and a concrete technical approach, please reach out. Happy to discuss the details and finalize quickly.
