I want to turn our manual, click-heavy release routine on AWS into a fully automated, repeatable workflow. The goal is simple: with a single commit or tag, the latest build should travel from repository to test, staging and production without human intervention—rolling back cleanly if anything fails.
You’ll look at our current AWS setup (EC2, RDS and a handful of managed services) and replace ad-hoc scripts with infrastructure-as-code and a reliable deployment pipeline. I’m leaning toward tools you already know well—Terraform or CloudFormation for provisioning, and something like GitHub Actions, CodePipeline or Jenkins for the CI/CD stages—but I’m open to suggestions if there’s a better fit.
Key deliverables
• Infrastructure definitions stored in version control
• A pipeline that builds, tests, security-scans and promotes artefacts across environments
• Clear README or wiki notes so the team can extend or troubleshoot the process themselves
• A short hand-off session (video or live) walking through the workflow
I’ll prioritise freelancers who can point to previous AWS automation work and speak concretely about the challenges you solved. When you apply, highlight that experience and tell me how you’d break the project into milestones.
