We are looking for an experienced Automotive Electronics / PCB Design Engineer to modify and extend an existing vehicle tracking hardware design into an OBD-II telematics device.

The project will include two variants:

Modern vehicles – OBD-II with CAN communication.
Older vehicles – OBD-II with CAN + K-Line support.

We prefer a common hardware platform where possible, with different BOM/configuration options for the two variants.

The engineer must have proven experience with OBD-II, CAN Bus, K-Line, automotive power supply/protection, PCB schematic design, and vehicle telematics hardware.

Initial deliverables will include the updated schematic, BOM, component selection/alternatives, interface design, automotive protection circuitry, and design documentation.

IMPORTANT: This is an existing proprietary product. No schematics, architecture, component details, BOM, firmware information, or other confidential technical information will be provided before NDA execution.

Please apply only if you have previous hands-on experience designing automotive OBD/CAN/K-Line hardware. Examples of relevant previous work are preferred.
