Automation & Robotics for Infrastructure Projects
Budget / Salary$750–1,500

I need detailed, sourced research on how automation and robotics are currently being applied—or can soon be applied—in large-scale infrastructure projects. The study has to balance technical depth with commercial practicality, always circling back to cost-effectiveness and overall economic feasibility. In other words, I am less interested in futuristic showcase robots and more interested in deployable, ROI-positive solutions that contractors, civil engineers, and public agencies can justify in today’s budgets.
Scope
• Map the present landscape: key technologies (robotic brick-laying, autonomous earth-moving, drone surveying, 3D printing for concrete, etc.), leading vendors, and notable pilot projects in roads, bridges, tunnels, and utilities.
