Automated full Intraloral mouth imaging and tooth surface scanning system

I’m developing a capstone project at King Abdulaziz University that blends mechanical motion with electrical controls to form a small-scale automated communication and control device. My concept is outlined, but I need a hands-on collaborator who can turn that concept into both a solid research report and a fully functioning prototype.

The work spans mechanical and electrical domains: confirming design assumptions through literature review, running sizing and stress calculations, selecting sensors, motors, and a suitable microcontroller or PLC, and then integrating everything into a working assembly. From CAD layouts and wiring diagrams to firmware that drives the control logic, each piece must be documented so it can satisfy academic submission requirements as well as a live demonstration.

Key deliverables
• Research summary with cited references that validates design choices
• Detailed mechanical drawings and 3-D CAD files
• Electrical schematics, bill of materials, and control algorithms
• Programmed controller (Arduino, ESP32, or comparable) with sensor/actuator integration
• Assembled, tested prototype ready for on-campus presentation
• Final report covering methodology, test data, and recommendations

I’m comfortable iterating together over SolidWorks or Inventor for the mechanical side and Altium, KiCad, or Eagle for PCB work, while code can run in C/C++ or MicroPython—whatever achieves stable, real-time control.

Remote collaboration is fine; just be prepared for clear progress meetings and to share native design files so I can learn from the process. If you have prior mechatronics or automation builds under your belt, especially those involving communication or supervisory control, your insight will be invaluable for meeting the university’s performance criteria and project timeline.
