I need a single Excel workbook that runs like a mini-app for my personal-training clients. As soon as I open it, I want to land on a clean dashboard that pulls each client’s name, their SMART goal summary, PAR-Q status, and—as selected—session notes, any adaptations I’ve logged, and automatically generated progress charts.
Inside the file:
• Exercise Programme
– A drop-down driven sheet where I pick “Warm-up, Cardio, Strength, Cool-down or Stretching” and the exercise list instantly populates from a master exercise library you’ll set up for me. I’ll fill in or adjust weight, reps, time, or calories and the sheet should feed those numbers into calorie-burn calculations that compare against each client’s BMR and daily calorie goal.
– The exercise library itself lives on its own tab so I can keep adding moves without breaking any formulas.
• Nutrition
– A daily layout for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and two Snacks, with space for calories and macros. Drop-downs should fetch meals from a food-options sheet I’ll supply.
• Weight Tracking
– Simple date, weight, body-fat % and notes columns that plot automatically on the dashboard.
• Integrated Calendar
– Each main tab (workout, nutrition, weight) needs a clickable calendar so I can jump to any date’s entry with one click.
I’ll share my colour palette and any sample data once we start. Everything has to stay in vanilla Excel—no external add-ins—so it runs smoothly on both Windows and Mac versions of Office 365.
Acceptance criteria
1. Workbook opens on the dashboard and no VBA errors appear.
2. Adding a new exercise or meal to the master sheets instantly updates every drop-down.
3. Calorie math and BMR look-ups match the formulas I’ll supply for spot checks.
4. Calendar links always navigate to the correct date row.
5. Charts on the dashboard refresh automatically when new data is entered.
If you’re confident with dynamic named ranges, data validation, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, and light VBA for navigation, this should be right up your alley. Let me know any clarifications you need before you dive in.
