Automate ERP Order Status Import

My ERP system exports daily order-status reports as CSV and Excel files, and I need those files pulled in and posted automatically—no more manual keying. The flow is straightforward: fetch the files, map their columns to our existing order-tracking fields, then push the cleaned data into the live database so dashboards and customer notifications stay current without human intervention.
I will supply sample CSV/XLS extracts plus a field map that highlights required, optional, and ignored columns. Your job is to build a small, maintainable import routine—script, micro-service, or low-code automation is fine as long as it can run unattended on our Windows server and log each run’s success or failure.
Deliverables
• A working import mechanism that processes the ERP’s CSV/XLS files automatically on a schedule or trigger
• Configuration or code repository with clear instructions for re-mapping fields if the ERP layout changes
• Basic logging/reporting so I can confirm each batch and spot errors quickly
Acceptance is simple: drop a fresh ERP file in the watched folder, let the process fire, and watch the new statuses appear in the database with no mismatches. If that works reliably for three consecutive test runs, we are done.
