I have an ultrafiltration water-treatment skid that now needs to be turned into professional, production-ready drawings. My greatest need is crisp, clash-free 2D and 3D layouts in AutoCAD; once those are set I will fold them back into our master P&IDs and general arrangement files.

The layouts must show every pipe route, each piece of equipment, and the relevant control-system interfaces so that an installer can follow the drawing without second-guessing dimensions or elevations. I already have process data, line lists and a rough block diagram—what I lack is the drafter’s touch that converts those notes into tidy plan, elevation and isometric views that all line up in model space. Plant 3D, vanilla AutoCAD or an equivalent tool is fine as long as the final DWG files open flawlessly in AutoCAD 2024.

Deliverables I need from you
• 2D plan and elevation drawings with pipe routes and labelled equipment
• A coordinated 3D model that mirrors the 2D sheets and flags any spatial conflicts
• Updated P&ID sheets reflecting tag numbers used in the layouts (DWG + PDF)
• Native DWG files plus PDFs issued for construction

Acceptance criteria
The 3D model must overlay on a 10 mm grid in our plant room envelope without clashes; all nozzles, flange classes and valve IDs must match the existing line list; and each drawing must plot cleanly to A1 without broken viewports or missing fonts.

If this sounds like a workflow you are comfortable with, please tell me which version of AutoCAD or Plant 3D you would use and how soon you can turn around a first draft.
