**Job description:**

We need an experienced local SEO and link-building specialist to build legitimate Australian business listings and citations for an Australian raw dog food company.

The objective is to secure up to 20–30 relevant, spam-free business listings each month. Quality and relevance are more important than reaching a fixed number.

### Scope of work

- Research genuine Australian business directories and relevant pet, dog, food, retail and local-business websites.
- Submit the business manually to suitable free directories.
- Create accurate listings using the business details we provide.
- Maintain consistent business name, website, description and contact information.
- Use natural brand or URL anchors—not repeated keyword-rich anchors.
- Confirm that each listing page is publicly accessible and capable of being crawled.
- Verify listings through email where required.
- Update a shared spreadsheet with progress and live links.

### Quality requirements

Each website must:

- Serve an Australian audience or be directly relevant to the pet-food industry.
- Have a genuine business-listing or editorial purpose.
- Be active, maintained and publicly accessible.
- Have reasonable organic visibility and no obvious spam history.
- Not contain excessive gambling, adult, pharmaceutical, crypto or unrelated outbound links.
- Not be part of a private blog network, link farm or automated backlink network.
- Allow a useful business profile rather than only a blank profile containing a link.
- Comply with current Google Search spam and link guidelines.

DA, DR and Spam Score may be included for reference, but these metrics alone must not be used to approve a website.

### Strictly prohibited

Do not use:

- Automated submission software
- PBNs or link farms
- Bulk profile-link websites
- Comment or forum spam
- Social-bookmark spam
- Duplicate listings
- Irrelevant overseas directories
- Paid links or hidden charges
- Reciprocal-link schemes
- AI-generated or spun descriptions
- Keyword-stuffed anchor text
- Websites that guarantee Google indexing
- Previously used directories unless an existing listing needs correction

All candidate websites must be approved before submission. Do not create any listing on an unapproved website.

### Monthly deliverables

Provide a spreadsheet containing:

1. Website/domain name
2. Directory or listing category
3. Australian or industry relevance
4. Candidate listing URL
5. Domain Authority or Domain Rating
6. Spam Score, if available
7. Free, freemium or paid status
8. Dofollow or nofollow status
9. Submission date
10. Current status: proposed, approved, submitted, pending or live
11. Final live listing URL
12. Verification requirement
13. Screenshot or proof of submission
14. Notes or issues

A listing will count as completed only when the live public URL has been verified. Pending listings should be reported separately.

### Workflow

**Milestone 1:** Research and provide 25–40 Australian candidates for review.

**Milestone 2:** Submit the first 10 approved priority listings.

**Milestone 3:** Complete the remaining approved placements, aiming for up to 20–30 verified listings during the month.

If fewer than 20 suitable websites are available, report the genuine opportunities found. Do not replace them with low-quality websites simply to meet the target.
