My in-house attendance system is already handling clock-ins and clock-outs reliably; what it still lacks is a solid reporting and analytics layer. I want to plug that gap by adding a standalone reporting module that pulls live data from the existing database and turns it into clear, actionable insights.
Reports required (all auto-generated and downloadable):
• Employee performance report – this is the top priority and needs to highlight punctuality, overtime, absences, and any productivity metrics we can derive from attendance data.
• Daily attendance report
• Weekly summary report
• Group report (team / department level)
• Vacation report (approved, pending, remaining balance)
Each report should support simple filtering (date range, employee, department), display key figures in tables and basic charts, and allow export to PDF or Excel. A lightweight analytics dashboard tying the above together would be ideal, provided it doesn’t bloat the application.
The codebase is already clean and modular, so the new layer should slot in without major refactoring. Please outline how you intend to hook into the current data model, the reporting library or framework you prefer, and any visualisation tools (e.g. Chart.js, Highcharts, Power BI Embedded, etc.) you would use.
I will supply full source access and a quick walkthrough once we agree on approach. Deliverables are the integrated reporting module, unit-tested queries, and brief user documentation so my HR team can start running these reports immediately.
