I run a remote-access astronomy setup and need help moving day-to-day telescope operations from our ageing Server #1 to a brand-new Windows machine (Server #2).

Scope of work
• De-commission or disable non-weather services on Server #1 while keeping its weather station reachable until we solve the credential issue.
• Configure Server #2 so two imaging cameras—a Starlight Express and a QHYCCD5 II—can upload frames via FTP (or SFTP if you advise) without interruption.
• Because the previous webmaster is out of business and we do not have the WinSCP login he used, I need either:
– recovery of those credentials, or
– a clean replacement workflow that achieves the same live-weather feed and file transfers.
• Advise on whether we stay with WinSCP or switch to another client; I’m open to whichever option gives solid automation and logging.
• Provide a brief hand-off document noting connection details, paths, and any scheduled tasks you set up.

Deliverables
1. Server #2 fully online, secured and reachable over RDP.
2. Both cameras reliably writing to their designated folders on Server #2.
3. Weather system still viewable via Server #1 (or alternative access) without manual intervention.
4. Written summary of all new credentials, ports, and scripts.

"All Sky Camera" and "Skypi RO Seeing" are the 2 cameras that need to be ftp'd to server #2. All other weather related info to stay on server #1. This is a Wordpress website.

If you have Windows Server hardening experience, knowledge of common astronomy camera drivers, and can turn this around quickly, I’m ready to move forward.
