About Wellity Health
Wellity Health is a minority-founded, healthtech startup delivering a frictionless, evidence-based, and scalable solution to the mental health epidemic plaguing our country. Our mission is to deliver true EQUITY in mental healthcare. We accomplish this by focusing on communities of color and those underserved or neglected by traditional metal healthcare organizations.
About the Role
Working as a therapist is deeply meaningful—and we also know it comes with real challenges. At Wellity Health, we’re committed to being upfront about both. We’re currently hiring full-time Associate Therapists who are committed to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment where consistency and structure matter.
While this is a fully remote position, it is not self-scheduled. Our team works standard 8-hour days, Monday through Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, and full-time clinicians carry a caseload of up to 32 weekly sessions once fully onboarded. Some days may include up to 7 clients, with as many as 4 sessions scheduled back-to-back. While these heavier days usually happen only a few times per week, we want to be clear: this is a full-time clinical role with a consistent, structured schedule and full-time responsibilities.
In return, we offer paid administrative time, weekly company-paid supervision, a collaborative clinical team, and systems designed to help you focus on care. If you’re looking for a role that will challenge you clinically, help you build strong therapeutic muscles, and support your journey toward licensure, you’ll find that here.
While this is a remote role, it does require working in the state of California.
What You’ll Do
Provide 1:1 therapy for children, adolescents, and adults
This will include 5 - 7 client appointments of 53+ minutes each, each day, for a total of 32-33 clients each week.
Up to 50% of appointments will be reserved for completion of thorough assessments of individuals who have recently been discharged from emergency room settings and determining best next steps for ongoing care. This requires a high level of comfort with working with individuals with more complex presentations and acute needs setting than a normal 1:1 setting (psychiatric hospital care, IOP/PHP, residential treatment facilities, etc.)
Clinician may also with treatment and management of Mental Health Diversion (court-mandated) clients.
Deliver evidence-based mental health care to adults and/or children
Create and manage treatment plans and clinical documentation
Participate in weekly supervision and team consultations
Includes two units of supervision and internal meetings on an as-needed basis.
Collaborate with psychiatry providers and broader care teams
Maintain timely and compliant documentation in our EHR System
Includes 24-hour turn around for followup appointments and 48-hour turn around for initial appointments.
What You’ll Need
Must be able to work in California
Active Associate license in California (AMFT, APCC, or ACSW)
Master’s degree in Social Work, MFT, or Counseling (CSWE-accredited for Social Work)
Experience with CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care; EMDR or clinical niche preferred
Ability to sit with clients in emotionally intense sessions with care and clarity
Access to a quiet, confidential workspace with stable internet
Who You Are
Organized, responsive, and ethically grounded
Collaborative by nature but confident working independently
Comfortable navigating a structured schedule and a full caseload
Experienced with higher levels of care (psychiatric hospital care, community based services, prison setting, IOP, SUD facilities, partial hospitalization programs...)
Passionate about serving diverse populations (BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and more)
Self-motivated and dependable—you follow through without needing external reminders
Able to maintain focus and accountability in a remote setting, with strong time management and integrity in daily work
Why Join Us?
Competitive benefits, PTO, and sick time
Paid admin time & weekly supervision
Ongoing training & clinical support
A mission-driven team that values high standards, integrity, and inclusivity
If you're looking for meaningful work in a highly structured, supportive environment—and you're ready to grow your clinical experience while making a real impact—we’d love to meet you.
Pay Range:
Base Salary Range: $70,304 - $80,000
Pay range is based on both your years of licensure and the number of hours you’ve accrued toward independent licensure. We also offer a 10% bilingual differential for Spanish-speaking therapists in recognition of the additional nuance required to provide therapy in one language while navigating clinical documentation, team communication, and organizational systems in another.
Recruiters: We are not accepting applications from third party recruiters or recruitment agencies. We only accept direct applications from individual candidates.
