Asia International Politics Journalist

I’m looking for a seasoned political reporter who can file compelling, well-sourced articles on international politics with a clear focus on Asia. Each piece should explain why a development in Beijing, Delhi, Seoul—or any other key Asian capital—matters to a global audience, weaving in data, expert commentary, and on-the-ground insights where possible.

Scope
• You’ll pitch story angles tied to breaking news or emerging trends and, once approved, deliver 800-1,200-word articles that balance context, analysis, and crisp narrative.
• Turnaround is typically three to five days from assignment; quicker when a major story breaks.
• Fact-checking, source attribution, and adherence to AP style (or similar) are mandatory. I will run every article through plagiarism and accuracy checks before publication.

What will help you succeed
• A track record covering Asian politics for reputable outlets.
• Access to primary sources, data sets, and regional experts.
• Familiarity with digital publishing workflows, including basic SEO and CMS use (WordPress preferred).

Deliverables
1. Two to three headline ideas per assignment.
2. One polished, publication-ready article per commission, submitted in Google Docs with sources hyperlinked.
3. A brief email that highlights key takeaways and any follow-up angles.
