International Gaming Community Recruiter
Role Overview
We are looking for a part-time International Gaming Community Recruiter to help identify, evaluate, and recruit local community ambassadors for a new competitive online card game.
This is not a traditional social media manager role.
Your primary job is to find people who already have access to active gaming communities and can introduce our game to real players through Discord groups, gaming communities, livestreams, poker/card-game circles, and local online communities.
We are especially interested in building early communities in:
Philippines
South Korea
Japan
Taiwan
Initial priority will be the Philippines and South Korea.
What You Will Do
You will:
Search Discord, Reddit, Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook groups, gaming forums, and other relevant communities
Identify potential local ambassadors, community leaders, moderators, small creators, streamers, tournament hosts, and highly connected players
Contact qualified candidates directly
Introduce them to the game and explain the ambassador opportunity
Arrange private game tests or demos
Determine whether candidates can actually organize and attract players
Maintain a simple recruiting pipeline
Recommend the strongest candidates for final interviews
Help onboard selected ambassadors
Track results after ambassadors begin hosting games
We are not primarily looking for large influencers.
A candidate with a smaller but active gaming community may be much more valuable than someone with a large passive following.
Ideal Ambassador Candidates
You should look for people who:
Already participate in active gaming communities
Are comfortable using Discord
Can communicate naturally with gamers
Speak the local language of their market
Are comfortable hosting online game nights
Can recruit and organize players
Have experience with card games, poker, strategy games, esports, tabletop games, or social gaming
May already be a Discord moderator, streamer, community organizer, tournament host, or gaming creator
Are reliable and responsive
What Success Looks Like
During the first 30 days, your goal will be to build a qualified ambassador pipeline.
Initial targets:
Identify at least 10 qualified ambassador candidates per priority country
Establish direct communication with qualified candidates
Get at least 3–5 candidates per market to test the game
Recommend the strongest 2–3 candidates per market
Help organize initial hosted community game nights
Begin measuring which ambassadors actually generate active players
We care about real player activity, not vanity metrics.
Success is ultimately measured by:
Ambassadors recruited → game nights hosted → new players registered → players completing games → repeat players
What We Are NOT Looking For
This is not primarily a role for:
Creating Canva graphics
Scheduling social media posts
Increasing follower counts
Posting generic promotional messages
Buying followers or Discord members
Spamming gaming communities
We want thoughtful, personalized outreach and genuine community relationships.
Candidate Requirements
You should have experience with at least some of the following:
Community recruiting
Gaming communities
Discord
Creator or influencer outreach
Partnership outreach
Lead generation
Online research
Community management
Gaming, poker, card games, esports, or tabletop games
Excellent written English is required.
Experience working internationally is strongly preferred.
Experience recruiting creators or community ambassadors is a major plus.
