Architectural Drafter for Residential Joinery Plans

Residential CAD Drafter Required – Joinery Plans & Elevations From Hand Sketches

I am a residential builder in Melbourne looking for a freelance CAD/architectural drafter to document the joinery for a new high-end residential project.

The joinery has already been designed. I am not looking for someone to redesign the cabinetry or produce CNC/manufacturing drawings.

I will provide:

Full architectural construction drawing set in PDF
Approximately 20 pages of my hand-drawn joinery plans/elevations with dimensions
A completed joinery drawing package from another project showing exactly the drawing style and level of presentation I require

I need the drafter to convert my sketches into a professional architectural joinery drawing package.

The package includes:

Kitchen and island, butler's pantry, laundry, mud room, master walk-in robe, bedroom robes, bathroom/ensuite vanities and shaving cabinets, linen, retreat joinery and alfresco joinery.

Required drawing standard

For each relevant area I require:

Dimensioned floor plan
Dimensioned joinery elevations
Cabinet doors, drawers, shelves and internal arrangements shown
Benchtop dimensions and heights
Appliance positions/openings
Sections where useful
Basic electrical and plumbing rough-in locations
3D/isometric views where practical
Consistent professional A3 drawing sheets
Drawing titles, scales and dimensions
Final PDF drawing set

DWG/CAD source files would also be preferred.

The attached example drawing set is the minimum presentation standard I am looking for. Please review it before quoting.

The cabinetmaker will undertake their own final site measure and manufacturing/shop drawings later. These drawings are primarily for builder coordination, trade rough-in, pricing and communicating the design intent.

When quoting please provide:

Fixed price for the complete drawing package
Turnaround time
Number of revisions included
Software you will use
Whether DWG/source files are included
One or two examples of similar architectural/interior documentation you have produced

Please do not quote unless you are confident you can reproduce the presentation quality of the example drawings supplied.
