I’m preparing a round of deep-level AOSP changes and need an architect who already feels at home inside the framework layer. The focal point is refactoring Activity Manager Service, Window Manager Service and Package Manager Service so that new behaviour in System UI, the Launcher and the Android permissions/security model can sit cleanly on top.

Your job is to help me translate a high-level product vision into concrete, review-ready patches and documentation. That means exploring design options, defining the right hooks in System UI, shaping launcher flow changes, and hardening or relaxing specific permission paths without breaking CTS.

Please attach a detailed project proposal explaining:

• how you would structure the AMS/WMS/PMS modifications
• the strategy you use for rebasing across future Android releases
• tools you rely on (repo, Gerrit, clang-tidy, etc.)
• your previous commits or upstream merges in AOSP or a comparable fork

Deliverables
1. Architecture/design document covering all affected subsystems
2. Proof-of-concept patches (repo format-patch or Gerrit change-lists)
3. Build instructions and test plan confirming System UI, Launcher and permission flows work on an AOSP reference device or emulator

I’m looking for pragmatic solutions, clear reasoning around security implications and a roadmap I can hand to an implementation team with confidence.
