I’m creating an Android app that lets users register with email and password, then jump straight into one-to-one audio or video calls while chatting in real time. Inside the same conversation screen, users must be able to share files of various types and receive push notifications whenever a call, message, or file arrives—even if the app is closed.
You’ll take the project from a clean Android Studio folder to a fully working APK. That includes handling user authentication, setting up the real-time media stack (WebRTC or another proven framework you prefer), wiring secure, low-latency text messaging, and integrating FCM for notifications. Everything has to run reliably on Android 8 through 14, respect battery-optimization rules, and recover gracefully from spotty 4G or Wi-Fi.
Deliverables & acceptance criteria
• Email/password sign-up, login, and password-reset flow, ready for production
• Stable one-to-one audio and video calls with mute, camera-swap, and hang-up controls, connecting in under three seconds
• Live text chat with read receipts and file attachments up to 50 MB
• Push notifications for incoming calls, messages, and transfers
• Source code in Kotlin, clearly commented, plus a README covering build, backend deployment, and testing steps
• Crash-free APK confirmed on physical devices and emulators from API 26 to 34
I’ll supply basic UI mock-ups and branding assets; everything else—signaling server choice, media handling, and best-practice architecture—is yours to propose and implement. Looking forward to working with someone who’s shipped real-time communication apps before and can back it up with examples.
