Android QR Menu App

I need a straightforward Android application that lets diners open our restaurant’s menu instantly after scanning a table-side QR code. At this stage the app is purely for menu browsing—no ordering cart, no payment gateway—so the build can stay lean and focused on fast loading, clear category navigation, and an easy way for staff to keep dish names, photos, prices, and descriptions up to date.

Here is what I’m expecting:
• A clean Android APK (plus full source) that launches directly into a QR scanner and then displays the corresponding menu screen.
• Menu data can live in any lightweight back-end you are comfortable with (Firebase, simple REST JSON or similar is fine) as long as content updates show in the app without having to publish a new build.
• Branding elements—logo, color palette, and font choices—will be supplied so you can match our existing style guide.
• The final APK needs to pass Play Store submission checks, even if I decide to sideload it for now.

Acceptance criteria
1. Scan → Menu loads in under two seconds on a mid-range Android device running the current OS release.
2. Categories and items render responsively on both phone and tablet layouts.
3. All menu text, prices, and images can be updated from the back-end without rebuilding the app.
4. Code is handed over well-commented, with a short README explaining environment setup and deploy steps.
