I have a brand-new social media Android app that needs a focused, 14-day quality-assurance push. The core mission is to stress-test the Photo/Video Uploading component from every possible angle—different devices, OS versions, connection speeds, file sizes, orientations, permissions, and background states.
Scope of work
• Install the latest APK I provide each day (or whenever a new build drops).
• Exercise every upload path: camera capture, gallery selection, multiple-file batches, cancel/resume flows, and share-sheet entries.
• Log and reproduce crashes, hangs, or UI glitches; capture screen recordings or screenshots plus exact steps, device model, and Android version.
• Note performance hiccups such as slow encoding, timeouts, or memory spikes; capture Android Studio logcat traces when available.
• Verify that successfully posted media renders properly in the feed and user profile.
Deliverables (daily)
1. Structured bug report in my template (CSV or Jira ticket).
2. Supporting media: screenshots, screen recordings, and logcat files.
3. Quick summary of coverage: devices tested, upload scenarios attempted, pass/fail counts.
Acceptance criteria for final hand-off
• All foreground and background upload scenarios thoroughly exercised across at least three distinct device/OS combos.
• Every discovered issue reported with reproducible steps and evidence.
• End-of-sprint summary that groups defects by severity and recommends next steps.
No need to dive into other modules—messaging, feed scrolling, etc.—unless they block the upload journey. Tools like Android Studio, ADB, and popular device farm services (Firebase Test Lab, BrowserStack, or similar) are welcome if you already use them; just reference any external logs clearly in your reports.
The timeline is firm: two weeks from the day you receive the first build. Let’s make sure every user’s photo or video reaches their followers flawlessly.
