The goal of this project is to successfully pass online facial verification and identity verification checks on platforms such as Veriff, Persona, and Sumsub. Will you be able to develop and implement a solution that achieves this?
## Project Overview
I am looking for an experienced Android developer with expertise in WebRTC, ADB, Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP), and live video streaming to help complete a custom camera integration project.
The project involves using an **OBS Studio video feed as a camera source for testing on a Google Pixel 2 XL running Android 11**, with Magisk root access available.
The current setup includes a Mac computer, ADB connectivity, MediaMTX, a Node.js script using Puppeteer, and WebRTC/WHEP for delivering the video stream to a browser-based test environment.
## Current Setup
- **Device:** Google Pixel 2 XL (Android 11)
- **Computer:** Mac
- **Video source:** OBS Studio
- **Streaming server:** MediaMTX
- **Streaming protocol:** WebRTC/WHEP
- **Automation:** Node.js and Puppeteer Core
- **Device communication:** ADB and Chrome DevTools Protocol
- **Root access:** Magisk available
## Scope of Work
1. Review and debug the existing Node.js script.
2. Configure OBS Studio to publish a stable video stream through MediaMTX.
3. Fix WebRTC/WHEP session negotiation, video-track handling, connection timeouts, and cleanup.
4. Configure ADB port forwarding and reverse networking between the Mac and Android device.
5. Validate video playback and camera capture on a dedicated test webpage.
6. Add reliable error reporting, connection status, and troubleshooting logs.
7. Provide clear setup instructions and documentation so the solution can be reproduced.
## Required Skills
- Android development and debugging
- WebRTC, SDP, ICE, and WHEP
- OBS Studio and MediaMTX
- Node.js and JavaScript
- Puppeteer and Chrome DevTools Protocol
- ADB, Android 11, and macOS troubleshooting
- Android camera APIs and virtual-camera architecture
## Deliverables
- Corrected and tested source code
- Working OBS-to-browser workflow
- Documented installation and configuration steps
- Troubleshooting guide and test results
- Explanation of any Android-level limitations or additional requirements
## Important Notes
The immediate priority is to establish a reliable, working video pipeline and validate it on a dedicated test page. Any device-level camera integration must be implemented through an appropriate, authorized Android development approach.
Please apply only if you have relevant hands-on experience with Android camera systems and real-time video streaming. In your proposal, briefly describe a similar project you have completed and explain how you would approach this setup.
I can provide the existing script, configuration details, and diagnostic logs to the selected freelancer.
