An Android application is needed to centralise my inventory workflow and keep every item fully traceable on-the-go. The core of the build is inventory management, so the app must:
• Track stock levels in real time, instantly reflecting every sale, return, or manual adjustment
• Generate clean, exportable stock reports (PDF / Excel) for daily, weekly, and monthly reviews
• Push low-stock alerts the moment a preset threshold is reached, so replenishment happens before shelves run empty
The app has to talk seamlessly to our existing Point-of-Sale system; sales completed at the counter must immediately update the mobile stock database, and any adjustments from the phone should travel back to the POS. If the POS provides REST / JSON endpoints, the app should consume them, but I’m open to your suggestion for the most reliable integration approach.
A crisp Material-guided UI, support for the latest two Android OS versions, offline caching with automatic sync once a connection returns, and user authentication tied to simple role permissions will round out the build.
Deliverables
• Full Android Studio project with readable, commented code
• API integration module connecting to the POS sandbox and live environment
• Signed APK / AAB ready for Play Console upload
• One-page deployment guide plus quick-start user manual
Once I can open the app, watch stock move in real time, and see accurate reports that match the POS back end, the project is complete.
