I need a straightforward Android food-ordering solution built from scratch with two parts: a customer-facing mobile app and a slim admin panel I can reach from any browser. The focus is on clean code, a modern Material-style interface, and an architecture that lets me extend features later without a full rewrite.
Customer app
• Login/registration
• Browsable home screen with food categories, item detail pages, prices, and an “add to cart” flow
• Address book and cash-on-delivery checkout
• My Orders screen showing real-time order status updates
Admin panel
• CRUD controls for menu items, categories, and prices
• Order dashboard where I can view customer details, change statuses, and mark items delivered
Technical notes
• Native Android build (Kotlin or Java in Android Studio) with a REST/Realtime backend of your choice; keep the code modular so I can swap services later.
• Any mainstream database stack is fine as long as setup scripts and clear README instructions are included.
• UI must be fully responsive across common phone sizes; no designer provided, so sensible default styling is expected.
• Source code, build scripts, and all assets handed over in a Git repo.
• Basic unit/UI testing and a round of bug fixing before final hand-off.
Deliverables
1. APK plus signed release build
2. Web or mobile-web admin panel (responsive)
3. Complete, well-commented source code
4. Setup guide and short video or screenshots showing the app flow
5. Test report with resolved issues
Acceptance criteria
• All listed screens load and function without crashes on Android 8–14 devices.
• Orders placed in the customer app appear instantly in the admin panel and status changes reflect back in “My Orders.”
• No hard-coded keys, passwords, or absolute file paths in the codebase.
Send over links to two or three similar Android projects you have shipped, an estimated timeline broken into milestones, and your fixed quotation. I’ll review demos quickly and move fast on hiring.
