I’m in full production on an animated feature destined for cinemas and now need fresh visual development to push the look of the film forward. The story draws heavily on ancient history and culture, so every design must feel grounded in that era while still fitting our cartoon-leaning, semi-realistic style.
Your main focus will be:
• Human character concepts – expressive silhouettes, clear personalities, historically informed clothing, props, and turnarounds that my modeling team can read at a glance.
• Natural landscape environments – sweeping vistas, atmospheric color keys, and layout-ready sketches that reflect ancient terrain (think rugged coastlines, dense primeval forests, desert trade routes, etc.).
A solid grasp of character anatomy plus environmental mood-building is essential. You should be comfortable iterating in Photoshop, Procreate, or an equivalent digital painting tool; layered source files will be required so my art director can adjust palettes and lighting if needed.
Deliverables I’m expecting:
1. 3–5 polished character sheets (front, side, back, expression lineup).
2. 4–6 key environment paintings with rough layout call-outs.
3. Color swatches and brief written notes explaining historical references behind your choices.
Upload a brief portfolio link that shows comparable work—ancient or culturally inspired pieces are a bonus—and mention how many revision passes you include with your bid. I’m ready to start reviewing sketches as soon as we agree on scope, so let’s bring this world to life together.
