Project Background & Requirements
We are building a new AI-powered mobile application. The app currently has its core base functionality in place, and our next major release focuses on expanding screens, refining interactive details under a Skeuomorphic design language, and wiring them smoothly with backend AI services.
We are looking for a full-stack / mobile frontend developer to take ownership of translating our UI/UX designs into polished, tactile mobile experiences.
Key Responsibilities
UI/UX Refinement & Screen Expansion: Translate Figma mock-ups into pixel-perfect, highly tactile React Native views and components with rich textures, realistic shadows, depth, and smooth micro-interactions.
AI Interactive Experience: Build highly responsive UI components tailored for AI workflows, including streaming typography (typewriter effects), real-time audio waveform animations, and dynamic context cards.
End-to-End Service Integration: Connect new screens to existing REST APIs and streaming protocols (WebSocket / SSE). Implement or tweak lightweight server-side endpoints when minor backend gaps arise.
Cross-Platform Performance & Accessibility: Deliver smooth performance (60 FPS+) across both iOS and Android, ensuring gesture interactions and keyboard navigation work seamlessly.
Tech Stack Requirements
Core Stack: React Native (React Native CLI or Expo) + TypeScript + Node.js (for light backend tweaks).
Animations & Micro-interactions: Deep familiarity with react-native-reanimated, react-native-gesture-handler, or Lottie to render modern skeuomorphic visual depth and tactile feedback.
Code Quality: Strong component-driven architecture, clean Git history, and solid test coverage (Jest / React Native Testing Library).
Acceptance Criteria
– All screens match Figma designs within a 2-pixel / 2-dp tolerance.
– Touch gestures, haptic feedback, and keyboard avoidance operate flawlessly on both iOS and Android.
– Key interactions and transitions maintain a steady 60 FPS without dropping frames.
– Unit and integration tests cover critical UI states and any newly created API routes.
If skeuomorphic details excite you and you are comfortable owning the flow from mobile UI polish to light API integrations, let’s talk!
