I need a highly accurate 3 D CAD model of the radar interface taken from a full-size aircraft cockpit. The geometry must be faithful to the real part so that I can 3-print a functional prototype for fit-checking inside an existing cabin mock-up.
Scope
• One interior component: the complete radar interface (front bezel, buttons/knobs, mounting frame, and any visible connectors).
• Final size is 1 : 1; tolerances should suit FDM or SLA printing without post-machining.
• Surfaces must be watertight and manifold—no non-manifold edges, inverted normals, or open faces.
Deliverables
• Native parametric file from your preferred CAD platform (SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, or similar).
• Neutral STEP/IGES for downstream edits.
• Print-ready STL sliced into logical sub-assemblies where necessary.
• A brief PDF with overall dimensions, key mounting points, and suggested print orientation.
Acceptance Criteria
The model will be accepted once the STL passes basic mesh checks (Netfabb or similar) and critical dimensions match my reference photos/drawings to ±0.25 mm.
I can supply high-resolution photos, rough hand measurements, and a quick sketch of mounting holes as soon as we start. If you have handled avionics panels before, please highlight that experience when you respond; otherwise, strong portfolio examples of precision mechanical parts are fine.
Looking forward to collaborating on this cockpit piece!
