AI Video Editing

I need an AI-driven workflow that takes my raw .MOV footage, detects every unwanted pause or stretch of silence, and trims it out cleanly so the final cut flows without dead air. The brief is purposely narrow: I am not after colour grading, stabilisation, or flashy transitions—just intelligent, frame-accurate auto-cutting.

You’re free to implement the logic however you prefer (Python + FFmpeg + Whisper/pyannote, a bespoke Premiere or DaVinci Resolve script, or another toolkit), as long as it can be run repeatedly on new files with minimal manual input.

Deliverables
• A working script, plug-in, or small app that ingests .MOV and outputs a tightened video in the same resolution/codec
• One processed sample from my test file showing smooth, click-free audio joins
• Clear read-me or screen-share walkthrough so I can rerun the process on future footage

Acceptance criteria
• Silences longer than my configurable threshold are removed with ±0.2 s accuracy
• No loss of overall sync or perceptible jumps in audio ambience
• Solution runs locally on macOS (Apple Silicon) without paid cloud dependencies
