AI Tutor-Matching Platform Development

I run a home-tutoring service that is still matched manually. I now want to move the entire matching process online and power it with AI so students are paired with the right tutor automatically, primarily according to mutual availability.

Here is what I need built:

• A web-based (or mobile-friendly) portal where tutors and students create profiles and enter their available time slots.
• An AI-driven matching engine that cross-checks those slots in real time, ranks the best tutor options, and instantly proposes the match. The logic must favour availability first; secondary factors such as subject fit or ratings can remain configurable for future phases.
• A lightweight admin dashboard where I can override or confirm matches, view current sessions, and export data.
• Email or in-app notifications to both parties once a match is confirmed, including a simple rescheduling workflow.
• Clean, well-commented code and brief technical documentation so my in-house team can maintain or extend the system later.

Tech stack is flexible; if you are fluent in Python with frameworks such as Django or FastAPI and comfortable integrating calendar APIs (Google, Outlook) that would be ideal, but I am open to your preferred tools. Please outline the approach you would take to train or fine-tune the matching model, plus any third-party libraries you plan to use.

Acceptance criteria
1. A student can sign up, enter availability, and see at least three tutor recommendations sorted by best matching time.
2. A tutor can confirm a proposed match, triggering notifications to both sides.
3. I can log in, view pending, confirmed, and completed sessions on one screen.
4. All core features run smoothly on a hosted test environment that you will provide for review.
