Custom AI Smart Glasses Prototype Inspired by Even Realities G2 – Concealed Camera and Integrated Display
Project Description
I am looking for an experienced hardware engineer, multidisciplinary engineering team or product development company to design, manufacture, assemble, test and deliver one complete, fully functional physical prototype of custom AI smart glasses to Spain.
The design should be inspired by the elegant, minimalist appearance of the Even Realities G2, with a conventional, lightweight eyeglass frame rather than a bulky AR headset.
The key difference is that my prototype must include an integrated camera that is completely invisible and unrecognisable from the outside, while retaining the discreet appearance of ordinary eyeglasses.
I require the finished physical product, not just CAD files, 3D models, renders, designs or consulting services. The successful applicant must deliver the fully assembled and working prototype to Spain.
1. Design and Appearance
* Design inspired by the Even Realities G2: minimalist, elegant and discreet.
* Conventional eyeglass appearance, with a slim frame and temples.
* Custom black frame, with proportions and styling similar to premium everyday glasses.
* Lightweight and comfortable for daily use.
* Electronics integrated into the frame and temples without bulky external modules.
* No visible camera modules, protruding lenses or obvious technological features.
* Custom mechanical design to accommodate the camera, optical display, battery and electronics.
The finished glasses should look as close as possible to normal premium eyeglasses.
2. Completely Concealed Camera
The main custom feature is a functional camera integrated into the frame, preferably in the bridge between the lenses.
Requirements:
* The camera lens must be completely invisible and unrecognisable from the outside.
* No protruding camera or obvious camera opening.
* Suitable field of view and image quality for AI vision applications.
* Functional image capture and/or video streaming to a smartphone.
* Compact camera module and suitable electrical connections.
* Integration that preserves the frame’s conventional appearance.
The developer must propose a technically feasible optical solution that allows the camera to capture images without compromising its field of view or image quality.
A visible recording indicator LED must activate whenever recording is taking place. It should be discreetly integrated into the frame while remaining visible when illuminated.
3. Integrated Optical Display
The display should provide functionality similar in concept to the Even Realities G2, allowing the wearer to read information privately through the lenses.
Requirements:
* Integrated near-eye optical display for displaying text.
* Micro-OLED, waveguide or another suitable optical technology.
* Necessary optics and display driver included.
* Readable AI-generated responses without an external screen.
* Minimal impact on the glasses’ appearance, weight and dimensions.
* No bulky AR headset design.
A display panel alone is insufficient. The developer must integrate the complete optical system required to display readable text.
4. Smartphone and AI Integration
The smartphone should perform most of the AI processing to keep the glasses lightweight and energy-efficient.
Required functionality:
* Wireless connection between the glasses and a smartphone.
* Transfer of images or video from the camera to the phone.
* Image processing through an AI service.
* Transmission of AI-generated responses back to the glasses.
* Display of text responses through the integrated optical display.
* Functional firmware and software demonstrating the complete workflow.
A basic functional demonstration application is acceptable; a finished commercial application is not required.
Please identify any required third-party APIs, subscriptions or recurring costs.
5. Electronics and Manufacturing
The finished prototype must include:
* Camera and optical components.
* Integrated display and driver.
* Microcontroller and control electronics.
* Wireless connectivity.
* Battery, charging system and power management.
* PCBs, flexible cables and connectors.
* Recording indicator LED.
* Firmware and required software.
* Electrical, thermal and functional testing.
The developer must handle mechanical engineering, CAD modelling, frame manufacturing, electronic integration, assembly and testing.
6. Mandatory Deliverables
The project will only be considered complete when I receive:
1. One fully assembled and functional pair of physical smart glasses.
2. A discreet frame inspired by the Even Realities G2.
3. A working camera that is invisible and unrecognisable from the outside.
4. A functional optical display capable of showing readable text.
5. Wireless connectivity with a smartphone.
6. A demonstrated camera-to-AI-to-display workflow.
7. A working recording indicator.
8. Battery, charger and necessary accessories.
9. Tested firmware and software.
10. A video demonstrating the actual prototype working before shipment.
11. Editable CAD files and mechanical design files.
12. Electronic schematics and bill of materials.
13. Firmware, source code and agreed technical documentation.
14. Shipment of the finished prototype to Spain with tracking information.
CAD files, renders or simulations alone are not acceptable as the final deliverable.
7. Required Experience
Applicants should have demonstrable experience in:
* Smart glasses and wearable electronics.
* AR displays, micro-OLED and near-eye optics.
* Miniature camera integration.
* Embedded electronics and firmware.
* Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and smartphone connectivity.
* Mechanical engineering and CAD.
* 3D printing and functional hardware prototyping.
* Electronic assembly, testing and product integration.
Experience delivering complete physical wearable devices is strongly preferred.
8. Questions for Applicants
Please answer the following questions in your proposal:
1. Have you previously designed, built and delivered smart glasses or similar wearable devices?
2. Can you provide photographs or videos of real hardware you have developed?
3. Can you manage the entire project and deliver the finished prototype to Spain?
4. How would you integrate a camera into the bridge while keeping it invisible from the outside?
5. What optical display technology would you recommend for a design similar to the Even Realities G2?
6. How would you minimise weight and maintain a conventional appearance?
7. What is your total estimated price, including engineering, components, manufacturing, assembly, testing and shipping?
8. What is the expected development and delivery timeline?
9. Will you provide the CAD files, source code and technical documentation?
10. Can you work with milestone-based payments and demonstrate the working prototype before shipment?
9. Budget and Payment Terms
Please provide an itemised quotation covering engineering, design, optical components, camera, electronics, frame manufacturing, software, assembly, testing and shipping to Spain.
I am open to proposals from experienced freelancers, engineering teams and specialist hardware development companies.
Milestone-based payments linked to verifiable deliverables are preferred. Any additional costs or subcontracting must be agreed in advance.
The agreement must specify the delivery of the custom CAD files, electronic designs, firmware and source code developed for the project. Third-party components, licences and recurring costs must be disclosed.
Final Objective
To receive one complete, fully assembled, tested and operational pair of custom AI smart glasses delivered to my address in Spain.
The design must be inspired by the Even Realities G2, with a conventional and discreet appearance, a camera completely invisible from the outside, an integrated optical display for reading AI responses, smartphone-based AI processing and delivery of the finished physical prototype.
I am not looking for a designer who only provides drawings or models. I need a professional or team capable of developing, manufacturing and delivering the actual working product.
