AI Product & Prompt Engineer – Subscription Monetization for Astrology App

We are building astrology startup, an AI-powered astrology platform inspired by products such as Co–Star, but with a stronger focus on personalized AI interaction.

LunaMatch generates personalized astrology experiences based on the user's natal chart, including:

Full natal chart and written AI interpretation
Personalized daily astrology insights and tips
Relationship and compatibility readings
AI-powered astrology assistant
AI voice calls where users can speak directly with an AI astrologer and ask personalized questions

We are looking for an experienced AI Prompt Engineer / AI Product Strategist to help us design the monetization and subscription structure of the product.

This is not simply a prompt-writing task. We want someone who understands how to turn AI features into a scalable subscription product while balancing user value, engagement, conversion, retention, and AI usage costs.

Scope of Work

Your main task will be to design the monetization architecture for LunaMatch.

This should include:

1. Subscription Tiers

Design a clear subscription structure, for example:

Free / Basic / Premium / Unlimited

You should determine what features should belong to each tier and which features should be used to encourage users to upgrade.

2. Feature Gating

Recommend which features should be:

Free
Limited
Premium-only
Credit-based
Pay-per-use

Features include natal chart readings, daily insights, compatibility readings, AI chat, advanced questions, and AI voice calls.

3. AI Usage & Limits

Create a practical usage model for AI features, including:

AI chat message limits
Voice call minute limits
Daily/monthly usage limits
Credit systems
Fair-use policies
Additional credit/minute purchases

The goal is to provide a premium user experience while keeping AI API and voice costs economically sustainable.

4. Pricing Strategy

Recommend pricing for each subscription tier, including:

Monthly pricing
Annual pricing
Free trials
Introductory offers
Upsells
Credit/minute packages
Potential one-time purchases

We want the model to maximize conversion from free users while creating a strong reason for power users to upgrade.

5. AI Prompt Architecture

Help structure the prompt system behind the product so that different subscription tiers can provide different levels of depth and personalization.

For example:

Free user → shorter/basic interpretation

Premium user → deeper contextual interpretation

Higher tier → advanced AI astrologer with conversation memory, relationship context, historical conversations, and more detailed analysis

Voice AI → conversational astrologer capable of answering follow-up questions naturally using the user's natal chart and relevant astrology data.

6. Monetization Funnel

Design the ideal journey from:

Free registration → first natal chart → personalized insight → engagement → paywall → subscription → retention → upsell

We are particularly interested in identifying the strongest "aha moment" where the user experiences enough value to be willing to subscribe.

Recommendations for maximizing LTV and subscription conversion
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following:

AI SaaS monetization
Consumer subscription apps
Prompt engineering
LLM product architecture
AI voice products
Mobile app monetization
Freemium product strategy

Experience with astrology, wellness, dating, personality, self-discovery, or similar consumer apps is a plus.

Experience with APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Retell, Vapi or similar AI/voice infrastructure is also valuable.
