I'm looking for an experienced AI filmmaker to produce a ~4-minute narrative short film built around an original song called "Lucy Stone." This is a story-driven piece, not a lyric video or simple visualizer — think emotional short film, not song footage with visuals attached after the fact. This is to be treated as a short film not a music video.
I will be directing the project and providing shot-by-shot direction with your vision; I need a filmmaker skilled in execution — generating, refining, and assembling consistent AI footage to my direction — not someone developing their own creative treatment independently.
The story: A woman confesses, in first person, to years of bullying a quiet classmate — and the devastating consequence she didn't see coming until it was too late. The video opens with a wordless, 20-second visual sequence timed to the music intro, showing the cruelty before the song's vocal begins, then follows the song's narrative through to its emotional close.
What I need:
• Two consistent characters held visually stable across all shots (Lucy — present-day narrator and her younger self; and the classmate being bullied)
• A believable school/hallway with students setting for the open and verses 1–2
• A bleachers/outdoor sequence for the pivotal verse 3 moment
• A cemetery/grave setting for the closing tag
• A final beat, roughly eight years later: Lucy's husband hands her flowers as she kneels at the grave
• Delivered as a finished, edited 4-minute video, mixed to my final song audio (I will provide the finished WAV)
Delivery format: MP4 (H.264) or MOV, 1080p minimum, highest available bitrate — not web-compressed. Please also provide individual scene files in addition to any pre-assembled cut. (I edit in Vegas 23.)
I will create the closing credit reel myself — you and your team can be credited within it, but I'll need names and titles provided. I might consider your production logo if professional enough to align with our production.
Tools: Open to Runway, Veo, Kling, or a hybrid — your call on what delivers the most consistent character work, but I want someone experienced in narrative/character-consistency work specifically, not a generic "AI video ad" background.
Process: I'd like to structure this as milestones — first a character reference/consistency test (a few sample shots of Lucy and the classmate established) before committing to full production, so we can confirm the look before scaling to the full shot list.
To apply, please include:
• Portfolio examples of narrative (not ad/marketing) AI video work, ideally with recurring characters
• Which AI video tools you primarily use and why
• Your estimated timeline for a 4-minute piece at this scope
I have a perfect 5.0 rating with over 100 projects and always pay on time, so I need an equally responsible provider.
