I need a developer who can take my small furniture portfolio—about 100 product photos—and turn it into a semi-dynamic website that feels modern and smart. The core of the job is setting up an image-first experience where I can upload pictures and instantly see them stored, organised, and searchable through simple filters (e.g., material, colour, style).
Database & hosting
I don’t mind whether you choose Firebase or AWS; pick whichever will give us the fastest, most cost-effective workflow. Either way, I want a separate, well-structured database so future additions scale smoothly.
Key features I’m after
• Clean admin panel where I can batch-upload new images and basic product details.
• Automatic resizing/optimisation on upload so the site stays quick.
• Search and filter functionality for visitors (think “show me all oak tables in white finish”).
• Responsive front-end that looks great on mobile and desktop.
• Solid foundation for plugging in extra AI tools later—so keep the code modular.
Deliverables
1. Fully functional website deployed to the chosen cloud platform.
2. Database schema and set-up scripts/documentation.
3. Source code with clear instructions for local development and future feature additions.
4. A short walkthrough call or video explaining the upload process and search/filter logic.
Acceptance criteria
• I can upload 100 images in one session without errors.
• Each image appears in under 2 seconds on a typical 4G mobile connection.
• Filters return accurate results within a second.
• No console errors or broken links on launch.
If you’ve built image-heavy sites with Firebase, AWS, React, Next.js, or similar stacks, I’d love to hear how you’d approach this and see a quick example.
