AI Automation Engineer Full Time

**The Role**

You inherit a system someone else built, work out how it behaves, extend it, and leave
it working. Most of the work here is not greenfield.

In your first months you would own features inside one of our production systems: a
video ad assembler, a static ad generator, a pre-lander builder, or the media buying
engine. You read code you did not write, extend it without breaking the parts already
shipping every day, and keep the cost per generated asset visible.

**Essential**

- Strong TypeScript. You have shipped and maintained a Next.js application in production.
- Comfortable with a Postgres schema and an ORM (Prisma in most of our systems), and with

  the request path of a real web app.

- Practical experience calling AI APIs from production code (Anthropic, OpenAI or similar),

  including error handling, retries, and cost per call.

- You read the code before trusting the documentation, and you extend rather than rebuild.
- You write your own tests, and you prove a change did not break what already shipped.
- Working written English. The team spans several countries, and most communication is written.
- Self-directed. You unblock yourself, and you flag a blocker early.

Valued, not required

- Python and FastAPI. One of our systems is a Python research backend.
- Vercel, Supabase, Clerk, database migrations.
- Media generation APIs (image, video, voice), and reasoning about credits and spend.
- Ecommerce or performance marketing background, Meta Ads, Shopify.
- Experience owning a system end-to-end rather than working a ticket queue.
