AI Article Automation for WordPress

I run indiaroyalfamilies.com, a WordPress site with more than 700 published pieces on India’s royal dynasties. It is time to scale the content strategy and I want to fold AI-powered automated article writing into the workflow. The goal is twofold:

• breathe new life into many of the existing posts through fresh angles, richer context, and updated sourcing
• publish an ongoing stream of brand-new material

The AI must comfortably handle historical analysis, biographical stories, and timely news updates—matching the tone, factual depth, and citation style already established on the site. Cost effectiveness is important, so a solution built on readily available APIs or reputable WordPress plugins (for example OpenAI, Claude, or comparable tools) that keeps usage fees transparent is preferred.

I also need guidance on the entire integration process: choosing or customising the plugin, setting up API keys, defining prompts and templates, creating an editorial review checkpoint, and scheduling posts so they enter WordPress in draft status for manual approval. Clear documentation and a brief hand-off call should round things off.

Acceptance criteria
• AI integrated and able to generate both new drafts and revisions directly inside WordPress
• At least three sample outputs—one updated existing post, two fully new articles—covering each content type listed above
• Workflow and prompt library documented so I can reproduce results without outside help
• Solution runs within agreed token/usage limits to stay budget friendly

Feel free to suggest incremental roll-outs or other creative, lower-cost approaches that still meet the objectives above.
