Hi,
I’m planning to build a nationwide Nail Salon Directory website, and I want to use an AI Agent to handle website development and management.
I will purchase a domain and hosting account with cPanel, public_html, PHP, and MySQL.
What I need is your help setting up an AI coding agent on my personal laptop that can securely connect directly to my hosting server and MySQL database.
My goal is to control the AI Agent using simple English instructions. For example, I want to tell it:
* Create or modify PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files.
* Build new website pages and features.
* Create, update, and manage MySQL tables.
* Import and update nail salon directory data.
* Fix errors and troubleshoot website problems.
* Improve website design and SEO.
* Test changes and deploy approved updates to the live website.
I want the AI Agent to be able to read and understand my existing website code and database structure, perform development tasks, and report the results back to me.
What I need you to help me set up:
1. Install and configure an AI coding agent on my laptop, such as OpenAI Codex or Claude Code.
2. Connect the agent securely to my hosting account using SSH/SFTP.
3. Configure controlled access to public_html and MySQL.
4. Set up Git, automatic backups, and rollback protection.
5. Create a staging environment so the AI can test changes before deploying them.
6. Configure permissions so important production changes require my approval.
7. Teach me how to operate the entire system independently.
My main objective is not to hire someone to build the Nail Salon Directory manually.
I want to build an AI-powered development environment that I can control from my laptop. Once everything is connected, I want to give the AI Agent instructions and have it perform the technical work.
Eventually, I also want to use the same setup to manage my other websites.
Please let me know:

* Can you help me install, connect, configure, and test everything?
